Support the best Southern journalism by pledging to Scalawag
Scalawag is building a home for the South's best writers, thinkers, and practitioners to share their stories and ideas. We see a movement across the South—primarily of young folk—connected to the great Southern tradition of fighting for a more equal and just home. We work to amplify their voices because no one else has.
We know this is an ambitious vision. We've operated Scalawag on a shoe-string budget: just about $50,000 each year for our first two years. Our team has done all of the work behind Scalawag as volunteers. To ensure we can realize this vision, to ensure that Scalawag can expand its home when it's most needed now and in the difficult years to come, we need you to join us in this work by donating or subscribing.
Please consider pledging to Scalawag.
